La Tour du Château de Fleury
Présentation
An hour drive away from Paris, on the road to Fontainebleau, in the courtyard of Château de Fleury, Pierres d’Histoire offers three new places to stay that are both unusual and historical.
L’Ecurie, la Tour and la Vigie ( The Stable, The Tower and The Look-Out) are three large apartments, beautifully renovated enabling a stay ‘just like at home’ but in the heart of history, ideal for architecture lovers.
These 3 suites each offer a double bedroom, a private bathroom, a sitting area and a fitted kitchen.
On the ground floor, L'Ecurie is particularly welcoming thanks to the warm sand and ochre tones of brick and stone fittings, and the geometric perfection of its cross-vaulted stone vaults. On the ground, the old 18th century tomettes have now replaced the cobblestones.
The North Tower is one of the pillars of the enclosure forming an angle between the commons of Fleury-en-Bière Castle and its ramparts. Offering stunning views of both the courtyard and the surrounding nature, this tower was once a strategic place to observe without being seen.
On the second and last floor of La Tour Nord, La Vigie overlooks the grounds of Fleury-en-Bière Castle and offers breathtaking views: a grand view of the court of honour from the beautiful ox's eye, and the treetops from the huge window « à la française ».
A charming garden is reserved for the exclusive use of the guests of Pierres d’Histoire.
