Hiking the Trembleau father

Présentation

This route is labeled and marked in yellow by the CODERANDO 77.

Embark on a country walk to discover two charming villages of Gâtinais, including Villemaréchal, which was a medieval stronghold.

This trail, dedicated to Edmond Trembleau - nicknamed "the Trembleau father" - figure of the local resistance, will lead you through a succession of superb landscapes of bocage and exuberant forest areas which are so many places of memory. By borrowing "father Trembleau", you will cross a privileged place of the Resistance: The White Cross. At the entrance of this hamlet of the commune of Paley, adopted by the English services as a parachuting ground, stands today a stele, which recalls the high facts of war of this hero.
